Winemaker's notes:
My goal with the Columbia Valley Chardonnay is to make it a pleasurable, food-friendly Chardonnay. This is a fresh, soft style of Chardonnay with bright sweet citrus fruit character and subtle spice and oak nuances. We blend Chardonnay grapes from vineyards all over Washington’s Columbia Valley to make this a complex, interesting wine. The sur lie aging gives it an appealing softness.”

Yes, it is a very popular, mainstream chardonnay in the US. Its regular price is about $8, and i would always buy it when discounted below $7. The special thing about it is that it comes from the northwest coast (seattle) whereas most chardonnays come from the central coast (san francisco). that is why it is dryer and less fruitier, more to the european or french taste. anyway, you won't be disappointed, if you decide to spend the money for it, instead for a french one.
